Android Based Acer Stream:
Computer maker Acer unveiled Android-based entertainment smart-phone that is fully integrated with social-networking features. The smart-phone is known as the Acer Stream and will be running under Google’s Android 2.1 otherwise known as Eclair operating system. The new entertainment oriented Stream smart-phone is designed for watching films and web browsing. This is expected to be available for purchase from August.
Stream Smartphone Features: The company said that the multi-media smartphone is built with highly shock resistant materials, so should be robust. It also comes with top end technical specs and, at 11.2mm thin, is small. The Stream has a 3.7-inch touch-screen AMOLED display with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. Connectivity includes 3G+, WiFi and Blue-tooth, and the Stream has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, 512MB of RAM and 2GB of flash memory. The Stream supports up to 32GB on a micro-SD card. Multi-media features look pretty solid. The phone comes preloaded with a number of social networking apps including Facebook, YouTube and Twidroid, along with Google Maps, Roadsync, Gmail and Microsoft Exchange. Cheap International Calls: You can make cheap international calls with your mobile phones and landlines from the UK to the rest of the countries of the world. Cheap phone calls are made available to consumers by many UK portal service providers at a cheaper price. Consumers can now make unlimited calls from the UK to abroad by landlines or mobile phones. |
