Call Charges Raised Again:
Home phone provider giants, BT and TalkTalk, are preparing for
inflation busting price hike for the second time this year. The price
rise will be effective from 1st of October. BT's land-line rental is
set to rise by 50p to £13.29 a month for customers receiving paper
bills or £12.04 for customers opted to receive bills electronically.
Talktalk daytime call rates rise to 6.4p and their line rental is
increasing to £12.04 a month while call set-up fees rise 1p to 10.9p.
Opportunity To Reduce Line-Rental Cost: Ernest Doku, Communications Expert said, "In a year of pay freezes and spending cuts, customers will find these increases hard to take. Already this year, consumers have had two rounds of price rises from BT and TalkTalk, on top of a shift in off-peak hours from 6pm to 7pm and an imminent VAT increase that will inevitably push bills up further come January." He added that BT customers have the opportunity to reduce their line rental cost to £9.49 a month if they are able to pay for 12 months up-front. Cheap International Calls From The UK: Making cheap international calls is now so easy but many people are still struggling to find out the best service provider. As of now consumers can simply add an access number in their mobile phones or in landlines and can make unlimited Cheap international calls having good quality of voice.
