Recession Effect:
The telecom giant is going to increas e its monthly line rental by 50p from the beginning of October. BT customers will have to pay up to 10% more for phone calls on their land-line. BT said, “Like many businesses, we have to review our prices as we seek to cover costs and emerge from recession in good shape.” BT has begun sending letters to all its 12.5 million customers informing about increasing prices. BT will shortly be announcing trials of plans that include calls to mobiles.
Rise In Charges: Connection charges will rise from 9.9p to 10.9p, while the daytime rate rises from 5.9p to 6.4p. From October 1, the annual land-line fee will be £159.48. But for those signing up before the end of October, it will be £113.8 equivalent to £9.49 a month. A spokesman for Consumer Focus said, “Many BT customers will be hard-pressed to stump up a year’s land-line charges up front to avoid these increases. Also, people without internet access will question the fairness of being excluded from this email-only offer.” Making Cheap International Calls From The UK: Making international calls is now so easy but many people are still struggling to find out the best service provider. As of now consumers can simply add an access number in their mobile phones or in landlines and can make unlimited cheap international calls having good quality of voice. Simply add the access number and the country code and make desired calls at your convenient time. |
