He says that Google's Android Market now offers more than 20,000 apps, most of which are free. He added, "it couldn't gain that much momentum in an iPhone world though it was the best phone in the world." LG Electronics has revealed recently that hopes are high for Android phones. They also revealed that their "user-friendly and open-access operating system" are expected to make up more than half of around 20 new smartphone releases. However, mobile communications firm LG has unveiled a picture of ambitious plans as well as the ultimate goal of selling 140 million units this year. The company has showed that it will unveil about 20 smartphones based on operating systems including Google's Android, Microsoft's Windows Mobile and Linux. Smartphone dimensions will represent 14 per cent of total mobile device sales in 2009. |
