New Smartphones to Continue to Grow:The chief executive of Nokia has predicted that demand for smartphones will continue to grow. Nokia has said it expects demand for new smartphones to continue to grow over the coming years. Recent research published by the International Data Corporation revealed that smartphone sales have surged with a growth of 56.7 per cent in the first quarter of 2010. The analyst claimed that a total of 54.7 million of the devices were shifted worldwide between January and February. A Change to the Managerial Structure: On announcing a change to the managerial structure at Nokia, the Finnish manufacturer's chief executive officer Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo forecast that this growth trend is set to continue and the company decision to split itself into three units, mobile phones, mobile solutions and markets. Such a change would help Nokia to respond faster to growth opportunities we expect in smartphones and mobile computers. Smartphones will be managed by the Mobile Solutions department, which will also concentrate on high-end computers, whilst the Mobile Phones unit will look to drive sales of Series 40-powered devices,the world's largest operating system. Make Cheap international calls: Consumers may want to consider making cheap international calls with mobile phones or landlines. As making international calls is also a hassle free process. Simply add the access number and the country code and make desired calls at your convenient time.
