Holiday Boost: Mobile phone users planning to take their Blackberry, iPhone or Nokia device on holiday have been boosted by court rules. The European Court of Justice has ordered mobile operators to cut their data roaming charges, that means users can stay online and in touch with their emails at a considerably lower rate than before. This could affect 22 million users who take a holiday in the coming months as many of them will take a mobile away with them. ![]() Some companies will be forced to cut down their prices by as much as 70 per cent. Matthew Wheeler, a communication expert warned by his statement "Wherever you are going it's still well worth contacting your network before you travel to ensure that you fully understand the cost of using your phone while you are away”. The legislation applies only to European Union countries which include popular holiday destinations like Spain and Greece. Make Cheap International Calls: Consumers may want to consider making cheap International calls with mobile phones or landlines. As making international calls is also a hassle free process.
