Microsoft has reduced the name of its latest mobile operating system to Windows Phone 7 by slashing the repetitive fourth term that is not easy to pronounce. This is seen as a move to get along with the likes of Android, iPhone OS, Blackberry and Symbian. Though a majority of the users have already stopped using the fourth word "Series" regarding Windows Phone 7, the name still appears to be terrible. Microsoft's mobile version has been termed as "Windows Mobile" for years and users are well used to it. Because, the IT major has been incurring severe losses, Windows Phone 7 Series is seen as its reentry into the world of mobile phones, with a latest name and feel in the market.
