VoIP service on VerizonVerizon Wireless has announced that they are going to offer VoIP service on several smartphones through its mobile network at the recent Mobile Trade Fair in Barcelona. The increasing popularity of Verizon Wireless may encourage many consumers to make cheap international calls from their smartphones. The media reported that the company will be providing Skype's VoIP service over its network on nine smartphones. Consumers using 3G smartphone with voice and data plans will enjoy the Skype service. The mobile users, equipped with downloadable Skype Mobile application can communicate with other Skype users and make unlimited calls across the globe. The Skype users can make cheap calls from their mobile handset at low price offered by Skype and avail other services too such as exchange of instant messages with the user at the other end, checking online status of the Skype users on mobiles etc. Various Smartphones RIM's BlackBerry Storm 9530, Storm2 9550, Curve 8330, Curve 8530, 8830 World Edition and Tour 9630 smartphones will be among the first set of handsets to support Skype service in March. According to the reports, the other phones to introduce Skype service on their mobiles will be the three Android-based phones; the Droid by Motorola, Motorola Devour and the Droid Eris by HTC. Make Cheap International Calls Consumers may want to consider making cheap international calls with Verizon, landlines and mobile phones etc. As making international calls is also a hassle free process.
