Announced Record Sales: Smartphone maker HTC has announced record sales for the month of April reports, which is quite impressive. April's revenue was unveiled as £390 million, which is a new high for the firm and a big increase on the same period last year. In the first four months of 2010 the firm made nearly £1.1billion in revenue, which was nearly a 33 percent higher than in 2009. The revenues are clearly boosted by the success of the HTC Hero in 2009. However, this year it has b een dominated by the Legend and Desire. HTC Rises to Success: HTC is expected to top its second quarter revenue forecast launching new smartphones and selling previous models in recent months. The HTC Desire has easily sparked the most interest, being one of the first smartphones to appear on all major networks in the UK. HTC is also likely to announce new mobile phones in the coming months in order to compete with forthcoming handsets from various companies.
