Apple's iPad for Easy Making Calls: Almost all customers got their hands on the tablet computer after its Stateside launch last month, complaints came in of connectivity issues in places where iPhones and other devices had none. Self-repair ideas include upgrading the WiFi router's firmware, changing the iPad's security protocols, screen brightness and renewing the device's IP address. ![]() Cheap International Calls with Skype: By downloading free Skype app, consumers can use iPad's built-in speaker and microphone to make cheap calls right away. Direct calls to other Skype users on PCs, Macs or other mobile devices are free, and they can make cheap calls to landline and mobile numbers by buying credit with Skype. It's especially useful for international calls, where Skype's per-minute charges are usually substantially lower than traditional mobile or landline tariffs. Apple has now acknowledged, via a support page, that "a very small number of iPad users have experienced issues with Wi-Fi connectivity" before adding that it "will also address remaining Wi-Fi connectivity issues with a future iPad software update." But there's no word of when the update will be coming so there's no guarantee UK iPad owners won't face the same WiFi problems. Make Cheap International Calls: Consumers may want to consider making cheap international calls with iPad or landlines. As making international calls is also a hassle free process. Simply add the access number and the country code and make desired calls at your convenient time. |
